Oscar winning cinematographer Roger Deakins has dropped out of “Dark Phoenix” writer-director Simon Kinberg’s new female-led spy film “355”.
Jessica Chastain, Penelope Cruz, Lupita Nyong’o, Sebastian Stan, and Edgar Ramirez star in the film which will reportedly now have Tim Maurice-Jones (“Kick Ass 2”) serving as cinematographer.
The story follows female spies from international agencies who come together and overcome suspicions and conflicts as they battle to stop a global organization from thrusting the world into chaos. Along the way, strangers and enemies become comrades and friends, and a new spy sisterhood is formed.
Theresa Rebeck penned the script for the $75 million-budgeted film.
