Nickelodeon Animation will produce a CG animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” feature along with producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver’s Point Grey Pictures.
Nickelodeon Animation revived the franchise for the small screen in 2012 with a CG animated series and is also planning a direct to Netflix 2D-animated film based on the “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” TV series.
The property first came to notice with the 1980s animated series which led to multiple live-action films and the 2007 animated “TMNT” movie.
Jeff Rowe, who helms the upcoming Lord and Miller-produced animated film “Connected” for Sony, will helm from a script by Brendan O[Brien (“Bad Neighbors”). Paramount Pictures will distribute the film.
