The “Neighbors” team of actors Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne and writer/director Nick Stoller are re-teaming for a new half-hour comedy series titled “Platonic” at the Apple TV+ service.
The series explores the inner workings of platonic friendship as pair of former best friends who met in their youth (Byrne and Rogen) reconnect as adults and try to mend the rift that led to their falling out.
As their friendship becomes more consuming, it destabilizes their lives and causes them to reevaluate their choices. The show has received a ten-episode order.
Stoller and Francesca Delbanco (“Friends from College”) co-wrote the series and will both executive produce while Stoller will direct. Rogen and Byrne will executive produce as well along with Conor Welch.
