Rod Lurie (“The Contender,” “Straw Dogs”) is set to direct the thriller “Borderline” for Voltage Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
Justin Marks penned the story of a family taken hostage by fugitives. The father and lead captor engage in a battle of wits – the former trying to save his family, while the latter has nothing to lose.
The two leads are currently being sought with Lurie said to be aiming for a tone akin to “The Sugarland Express” and “The Getaway”.
Jamie Patricof (“Blue Valentine”), Nicolas Chartier (“The Hurt Locker”) and Craig Flores will produce.
