“The Lighthouse” and “The Witch” filmmaker Robert Eggers has reportedly completed production on his Viking revenge film “The Northman” according to Indiewire.
Set in Iceland at the turn of the tenth century, the project has been filming for four months, but specifics about the film are under wraps. Eggers co-wrote the script with Icelandic novelist Sjon.
Eggers has an all-star ensemble involved including Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgard, Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, Claes Bang, Kate Dickie, Ralph Ineson, Murray McArthur, Ian Gerard Whyte, and singer-songwriter Bjork.
Focus Features will release the film in the U.S. theatrically while Universal Pictures will be distributing the film internationally.
