Rob Cohen is set to direct the action-adventure “Crash Bandits” at Nu Image/Millennium. The story centers on the rivalry between two treasure hunters who specialize in salvaging old plane wrecks.
When they get a beat on the ultimate prize, they find themselves in a race against each other in the Amazon jungle.
Michael Stokes penned the original script, but Cohen will perform a rewrite. Johnny Martin, David Raines, Kevin King and Mark Canton are producing.
Filmmaker John McTiernan and actor Hayden Christensen were attached to a previous incarnation of the project.
