“Community” and “Rick and Morty” writer Michael Waldron has been hired by Disney to pen the pilot, executive produce and serve as showrunner on the upcoming Disney+ streaming series “Loki” starring Tom Hiddleston.
The show will reportedly follow Loki as the trickster and shapeshifter pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events.
Waldron marks the third name attached to a Marvel and Disney+ series following Jac Schaeffer (“Captain Marvel”) working on “The Vision and Scarlet Witch” and “Empire” producer Malcolm Spellman showrunning the “Winter Soldier & Falcon” series.
