“Rick and Morty” New Voices Revealed

Adult Swim

With the seventh season of Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty” having premiered, the voice actors taking over the lead roles from the show’s departed co-creator Justin Roiland have been revealed.

Ian Cardoni is now voicing Rick Sanchez whilst Harry Belden is voicing Morty Smith. Both actors are performing voices very akin to what Roiland did which should minimise any sense of a jarring difference.

The same goes for some of the side characters Roiland voiced. The season premiere heavily featured the character Mr. Poopybutthole whom Roiland voiced in the past. In the season premiere, Jon Allen provided that character’s voice.

The new season marks the first season of the show produced without Roiland. Roiland’s business relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery ended following allegations of domestic abuse, though charges in that case have now been dropped.

The new season will consist of ten episodes with the synopsis reading: “Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out!”

New episodes air Sundays on Adult Swim.
