The Roku Channel has unveiled the trailer for “Reno 911! Defunded,” the revival of the Comedy Central sitcom.
The original “Reno 911!” series, about the cops of the Reno Police Department, ran for six seasons and wrapped in 2009 before returning on the short-lived streaming platform Quibi in 2020.
After Quibi shut down and its library was acquired by the Roku Channel, the streamer opted to continue the revival but in a more traditional 30-minute format with eleven episodes produced.
Original cast members Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Niecy Nash and Cedric Yarbrough return, while Jamie Lee Curtis, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic and George Lopez all guest star.
“Reno 911! Defunded” will premiere on February 25th.
