Rainshine Entertainment and Animasia will produce a trilogy of animated movies based on Jason Henderson’s children’s books “Young Captain Nemo”.
The contemporary story follows 12-year-old young adventurer Gabriel Nemo, a descendent of Captain Nemo from Jules Verne’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” He and his friends fight nature, villains, and forces of evil in his submarine Nemotech.
Jeffrey Reddick, the creator and writer of the “Final Destination” franchise, will adapt the books for the screen. Reddick recently penned the upcoming animated series “Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles” for Netflix.
The animation will be headed by AhLoong from Malaysia-based Animasia Studio.
