“Ramy” Renewed, “Better Things” Lands A Deal

Two of the most critically acclaimed comedy series on the air at present have scored renewals. First up, Hulu’s Golden Globe-winning “Ramy” has been granted a third season.

The pickup of the Ramy Youssef-led series comes six weeks after the second season debuted as the series explores what it’s like to be caught between a religious community that believes life is a moral test and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists.

That’s not all though as FX has not only renewed the highly acclaimed “Better Things” for a fifth season, they’ve also made an overall deal with its Emmy winning co-creator and star Pamela Adlon.

The network says: “The most recent season of Better Things was its best yet and we’re excited about what’s to come in season five, as well as all of the future projects we are working on together.”

Both shows have had never perfect scores on critical sites such as Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.
