Rainn Wilson and Lil Rel Howery have closed deals to executive produce and star in the buddy action-comedy “Code 3” at Wayfarer Studios and Circle of Confusion.
Christopher Leone (“Parallels”) directs the film, which follows a day in the life of two overworked, underpaid paramedics.
One is so burnt out by the job he is forcing himself to resign, though he first must embark on one last 24-hour shift to train his replacement.
Everything that can happen on the job, from the mundane to the extreme, unfolds on this exhilarating final day.
Filming begins in Los Angeles next month with a script hailing from former paramedic Patrick Pianezza.
Pianezza, Justin Baldoni, Andrew Calof, Mike Jones, Lawrence Mattis and Matt Smith produce.
