Gotham Group has optioned the film rights to R.L. Stine’s latest book “It’s the First Day of School … Forever” reports Heat Vision.
The story follows 12-year-old Artie, whose second day at his new school is exactly like his first. As the boy finds himself reliving the same horrible day over and over, he must find a way to change his nightmare. The aim is to create a family adventure movie, though a writer is not yet attached.
Eric Robinson, Yvonne Bernard, Beth Elise Hawk and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein will produce. Stine is the multimillion-selling author of the Goosebumps series.
