Famed Emmy-winning comic actor Leslie Jordan, best known for his role as socialite Beverley Leslie, the foil of Megan Mullally’s Karen Walker on “Will & Grace,” has died. He was 67.
Tennessee-born Jordan was at the wheel of a BMW when he crashed into the side of a building at Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street in Hollywood on Monday morning. Jordan was declared dead at the scene.
Recently Jordan had been recurring as gay baker Phil on the Fox sitcom “Call Me Kat” which returned for its third season last month. Filming on that series has paused in the wake of Jordan’s passing.
Other recent credits include FX’s “American Horror Story” and FOX’s “The Cool Kids” whilst on film he starred in the likes of “The Help,” “Sordid Lives,” “Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday,” “Home on the Range,” “The United States vs. Billie Holiday” and countless TV appearances from “Perfect Strangers” to “Lois and Clark,” “Monk,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” “Murphy Brown,” “Ugly Betty” and more.
