Actress Kelly Preston has died. Preston passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer. She was 57.
A family representative tells People Magazine: “Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends. She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
Preston broke through in 1983’s “Christine” and 1985’s “Mischief” and went on to features like “Jerry Maguire,” “Twins,” “SpaceCamp,” “From Dusk till Dawn,” “For Love of the Game,” “Waiting to Exhale,” “Only You,” “View from the Top,” “Holy Man,” “Jack Frost,” “Sky High,” “Death Sentence,” “Old Dogs,” “The Last Song,” “Addicted to Love,” “Battlefield Earth,” “Amazon Women on the Moon” and “Gotti”.
Preston and actor John Travolta were married in 1991 and she is survived by hiim and their two children.
