TV however is where she really broke out, winning an Emmy for playing the lead in “Amy Prentiss” and guest-starring dozens of shows from “Mission: Impossible” to “Mannix,” “Columbo,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “The Streets of San Francisco,” “Wonder Woman,” “Knot’s Landing,” “Magnum, P.I.,” “Murder She Wrote,” “Babylon 5,” “Law & Order,” “Just Shoot Me,” “90210,” “NCIS,” “Harley Quinn,” “Scooby-Doo” and many more.

Her two biggest screen roles were that of acid-witted sloshed matriarchs Lucille Bluth on “Arrested Development” and Malory Archer on “Archer”. Walter played Lucille over 82 episodes and voiced Malory over 110 episodes. She also was nominated for three Golden Globes and three SAG awards over her career.

Throughout her career she returned to the stage many times. Walter is survived by daughter Brooke Bowman, who is SVP Drama programming at Fox Entertainment, and grandson Micah Heymann.
