Beloved actress and comedic icon Betty White, the last surviving member of the Golden Girls, has died just weeks before her 100th birthday.

TMZ broke the news indicating that according to law enforcement, White passed away at her home Friday morning.

White had the longest-running career of anyone in television – appearing in multiple shows and racking up 115 acting credits across an eight-decade span starting back in 1939, and was the first woman to produce a sitcom.

She is most famous for her role as the clueless Rose Nylund in the acclaimed and groundbreaking late 80s/early 90s sitcom “The Golden Girls”.

However she’s never been out of work, the actress starring in major roles in a ton of shows from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Ladies Man” to”Boston Legal” and “Hot in Cleveland,” along with countless guest starring and recurring roles on shows from “The Love Boat” to “The Bold and the Beautiful” to “The Simpsons”.

She’s also starred in multiple films from “Lake Placid” and “Hard Rain” to “Bringing Down the House” and “The Proposal” along with lending her voice to “Ponyo,” “The Lorax” and “Toy Story 4” among others.

She has received numerous accolades including multiple Emmys, SAG Awards, American Comedy Awards, multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards and a Grammy.

White had reportedly been extra cautious during the pandemic but was very much herself right up until her passing. She recently spoke with People magazine and joked: “I’ve heard Ryan [Reynolds] can’t get over his thing for me but Robert Redford is The One” to which Reynolds amusingly responded yesterday “I’m absolutely sick of the media exploiting past relationships just to drive clicks.”

Our sincerest condolences go out to her family, friends and many fans.
