Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas
Roku has released the trailer for the TV movie “Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas” – a follow-up to NBC’s cancelled “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” which gives the series a proper farewell.

The feature-length original film will follow Zoey (Jane Levy) on her first holiday after her father’s (Peter Gallagher) passing as she attempts to create a magical Christmas for her family just like he used to.

All 25 episodes of the critically acclaimed main series are now available to stream for free on The Roku Channel while the film will be available from December 1st.

Amazon, Scott Free and Epic are teaming for a feature film about the true story of poet and lawyer Reginald Dwayne Betts. Veteran television director Zetna Fuentes will direct from a script by Aurin Squire.

Betts was charged with a carjacking at a Virginia mall when he was 16 and spent nearly a decade in prison. Now he’s a poet, author and Yale law grad who recently launched a nonprofit Freedom Reads to give incarcerated people access to literature. [Source: THR]

Nobody’s Heart
Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Edgar Ramírez have joined Isabel Coixet’s romantic drama “Nobody’s Heart” which is set in Lisbon in the 1930s and will begin shooting in January in Portugal. The project is based on William Boyd’s short story.

The story centers on a new widow, Lily, who inherits her husband’s cork factory, and begins to form an unexpected relationship with his enigmatic co-worker, igniting repressed imagination and passion, and discovering unknown truths about both herself and her late husband. [Source: Variety]

Camp Friends
HBO Max has picked up to pilot for the half-hour family comedy “Camp Friends” written by Lauren Herstik (“American Vandal”) and produced by Adam Goodman.

The story revolves around four lifelong ‘camp friends’ during their highly anticipated counselor-in-training summer. When a mysterious new girl arrives late from another camp, the girls’ plan to have The Best Summer Ever gets thrown into disarray. [Source: Deadline]

14 Peaks
Netflix has premiered the trailer for the documentary “14 Peaks” which sees Nirmal Purja wanting to climb all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter mountains. Previously, this was done in a record time of seven years, but Purja sets out to do it in just seven months.

Torquil Jones directs while “Free Solo” filmmakers Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi executive produce. “14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible” debuts on Netflix on November 29th.
