Xbox Series X
The Apple TV app is coming to the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, the first time the Apple ecosystem will arrive on an Xbox console. This will allow users not just access to the Apple TV+ service, but also the iTunes Store’s TV and movie catalog with the largest range of 4K HDR & Dolby Vision titles to buy and rent.

The app has already been confirmed for the PS5 & soon for the PS4. Other apps coming to the Xbox Series X console include Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, Peacock, Vudu, Spotify, FandangoNow, YouTube, YouTube TV and Twitter. [Source: Variety]

The Painter and the Thief
Neon, Studiocanal and Blueprint Pictures are teaming for a remake of Benjamin Rees’ Norwegian documentary “The Painter and the Thief”. The project follows the artist Barbora Kysilkova and her friendship with Karl Bertil-Nordland, a man who stole her artwork. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Mia Goth and Scott Mescudi are set and Jenna Ortega is in final negotiations to join “The Innkeepers and “The House of the Devil” director Ti West’s new film “X” at A24 and BRON Studios. Filming is is expected to start early 2021.

West will write and direct while Jacob Jaffke, Kevin Turen, Sam Levinson, and Ashley Levinson are producing through their Little Lamb Productions. Plot specifics are under wraps. [Source: Deadline]

The Great North
FOX has released the first teaser for their animated sitcom “The Great North” featuring the voices of Will Forte, Jenny Slate, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman and hailing from “Bob’s Burgers” creator Loren Bouchard. It will premiere in February and also features Alanis Morissette as herself.

The story will follow the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close, especially as the artistic dreams of his only daughter lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. The series has also landed an early second season renewal.

The Batman
A group of fans has impressively pulled off a LEGO remake of the DC Fandome early teaser trailer for Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” which you can see below. The clip apparently took around two months of work to assemble and was good enough to catch the eye of screenwriter Mattson Tomlin who posted a link on Twitter.

YouTube user Joebor1777 made the clip in collaboration with over a dozen other animators – Locker 74 Productions, Brickfilm HQ, Loneclone Productions, thebrickranger, jmbrickstudios, AJF Studios, Radvisuals, Paradox Pictures, Leviathan Studios, Future Past Productions, gotvideofilms, eggyolk2002, Dudebrick and AKPstudios.
