Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve (“The Worst Person in the World”) has signed on to star alongside Pedro Pascal in “Barbarian” filmmaker Zach Cregger’s “Weapons”. Cregger wrote the script and is directing.

The project is dubbed an interrelated, multi-story horror epic that tonally is in the vein of “Magnolia”. The story revolves around the disappearance of high schoolers in a small town. Cregger, Miri Yoon, Roy Lee, J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules produce. [Source: THR]

The Chosen
Lionsgate has scored the worldwide sub-licensing distribution rights to Jesus drama “The Chosen,” dubbed the most successful crowdfunded TV series ever. Set in first-century Israel, it shares what’s dubbed an “authentic and intimate look at Jesus’ revolutionary life and teachings”.

Lionsgate will shop all three seasons of the faith-based historical drama, which have already had more than 110 million viewers in 175 countries, and plans are to make it available in 600 languages. the first two seasons are available on Peacock and Amazon Prime. [Source: Deadline]

Rolf Harris
Well-known and disgraced Australian entertainer Rolf Harris has died at the age of 93. Harris hosted a number of children’s TV shows, famously painted a portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and was awarded an OBE, MBE and CBE.

Following a trial in 2014, he was found guilty of a string of assaults on four girls between 1968 and 1986 and was imprisoned for nearly six years – he never apologized to his victims and all his honors were stripped. [Source: THR]

Juror No. 2
Kiefer Sutherland will join Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette and Zoey Deutch in Clint Eastwood’s final directorial effort “Juror No. 2” for Warner Bros. Pictures. Jonathan Abrams penned the script, and filming begins this Summer.

Hoult plays a family man who, while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict – or free – the wrong killer. [Source: ABC]
