Uncharted
Sony has announced that the film adaptation of the “Uncharted” video game franchise has officially wrapped, bringing to a close a production that spent over a decade in development and through seven directors before finally going before the cameras. Tom Holland takes on a younger incarnation of treasure hunter Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg plays his mentor Sully in the film which opens next year. Power Rangers
Famed comic writer and “Titans” producer Bryan Edward Hill has closed a deal to write the new “Power Rangers” feature film adaptation from director Jonathan Entwistle that has been setup at eOne and Hasbro. The new film aims to kick off a whole cinematic universe of transmedia “Power Rangers” efforts. [Source: Deadline]
Tell Me Your Secrets
Amazon Prime has acquired the psychological thriller drama series “Tell Me Your Secrets” starring Lily Rabe, Amy Brenneman, Hamish Linklater and Enrique Murciano with plans for a 2021 premiere in North America and Australasia.
The ten-episode drama revolves around a trio of characters – a woman (Rabe) who narrowly escaped a serial killer, a former serial predator (Linklater) desperate for redemption, and a grieving mother (Brenneman) seeking her missing daughter. Murciano plays a therapist with seemingly good intentions. [Source: Deadline]
No Activity
The Paramount+ service, the soon to be rebranded CBS All Access, has announced a fourth season renewal of its scripted comedy series “No Activity” starring Patrick Brammall and Tim Meadows. However there will be one key change. That change is it will be converted from live-action to entirely animated with the pair returning to voice their characters of agents Nick Cullen and Judd Toldbeck. [Source: The Live Feed]
Memories of Murder
The re-master of “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho’s most acclaimed early work, “Memories of Murder,” has appeared this week on VOD services thanks to distributor NEON. The digital release comes ahead of a new Criterion disc release in 2021. The based on a true story tale follows a series of grisly murders in South Korea and the investigators’ flawed attempt to uncover the killer. [Source: Collider]
