Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
A first-look photo has been released of Rebecca Quin, aka WWE’s Becky Lynch, in her appearance as a Starfleet officer in the upcoming “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” series.

Quin revealed she grew up with the show often on the TV and turns out she is a big Miles O’Brien fan – “We all love Colm Meaney, any time he was on, you sit down and watch that”. The new series premieres mid-January. [Source: Collider]

Star Wars: Starfighter
Composer Thomas Newman (“The Shawshank Redemption,” “American Beauty,” “Finding Nemo”) has been announced as the person set to do the score for the upcoming Shawn Levy-directed “Star Wars: Starfighter” film starring Ryan Gosling and opening in cinemas on May 28th 2027. Frankenstein
Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has confirmed his recent “Frankenstein” film will be getting a physical media release – a rare thing for a Netflix original film. The release will also include the film’s deleted ‘convent’ scene.

It’s not clear who is handling the release, though Criterion Collection has handled both multiple Netflix originals and multiple del Toro films in the past. [Source: RealGDT]

One Piece
Netflix has released all the new title cards for the eight individual episodes of the upcoming second season of its live-action “One Piece” series. The titles are packed with easter eggs for fans of the series.

Wonder Man
Marvel Studios has put out a new promo for its “Wonder Man” series, this one poking fun at Master Class-style video courses. The show itself premieres on the Disney+ service on January 27th.

The promo sees Ben Kingsley reprising his role as ‘renowned’ actor Trevor Slattery, who is teaching a course in ‘The Slattery Method’ and claims: “Acting isn’t a job. It’s a calling”.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Netflix has released one more poster for Rian Johnson’s “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” as the film hits cinemas today ahead of its planned Netflix release on December 12th. The title is playing on hundreds of U.S. screens and in certain overseas markets for a week, including Australia.
