Thor: Love and Thunder
Natalie Portman has seemingly confirmed that Taika Waititi’s upcoming “Thor: Love and Thunder” feature will indeed be drawing inspirations from Jason Aaron’s “The Mighty Thor” comics, including the storyline of Portman’s character Jane Foster having cancer.
Speaking with Yahoo, the actress confirmed Jane would be going through some form of treatment: “it’s based on the graphic novel of ‘The Mighty Thor.’ She’s going through cancer treatment and is a superhero on the side.” “Thor: Love and Thunder” arrives in cinemas February 11th 2022.
Alita: Battle Angel
James Cameron has confirmed that last year’s “Alita: Battle Angel,” which he co-wrote and produced with director Robert Rodriguez, will be coming back to the big screen on October 30th for a limited run via Cinemark Theaters. [Source: Twitter]
Losing Clementine
Edgar Ramirez is set to star with Jessica Chastain in LucÃa Puenzo’s directorial effort “Losing Clementine” based on the novel by Ashley Ream and adapted by Ann Cherkis (“Better Call Saul”). Filming begins in Los Angeles in Janaury.
Chastain plays bipolar world-renowned artist and sharp-tongued wit Clementine Pritchard who gives herself thirty days to tie up loose ends and leave this world. As she checks the tasks off her To-Do list, she uncovers secrets about her family and the tragedy that befell her mother and sister. Ramirez will play her ex-husband and true love. [Source: Deadline]
The 355
Following the first trailer the other day, a new TV spot for the female-led ensemble spy thriller “The 355” has gone up, this one taking its time to explain the film’s title which ties to American history. Specifically it honors the anonymous female spies on the outskirts of history who have received little credit for changing the world.
Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger, and Bingbing Fan star as a group of female spies from agencies across the globe who have teamed up. Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramirez co-star in the Simon Kinberg-directed film which opens January 15th in cinemas.
