A recent article about The CWs shift away from scripted originals, and the dismantling of its current programming department, has revealed that the network’s “Superman & Lois” series clocks in at a $5 million per episode price tag – considerably more than $2 million or so per episode price tags of “Arrow” and “The Flash”. Scream VI
The upcoming “Scream VI” will officially be the longest film in the franchise to date. A Regal Cinema listing indicates that the New York City-set tale will clock in at 123 minutes – easily ahead of “Scream” (111), “Scream 2” (120), “Scream 3 (114), “Scream 4 (111), and last year’s “Scream” (114). The Penguin
“The Batman” star Colin Farrell has confirmed the upcoming HBO Max limited series spin-off “The Penguin” will clock in at a length of eight episodes.
As previously indicated, the series will begin a week after the events at the end of “The Batman” as Oz consolidates power in the vacuum left by Falcone’s death. Craig Zobel directs the first two episodes. [Source: Variety]
Shazam! Fury of the Gods
DC Studios’ upcoming film “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” has reportedly received a rare China release date and will hit Chinese markets on March 17th – the same day as its North American release.
It is unclear how many sceens the film will play on in the country. DC’s last release, “Black Adam,” did not open in China. [Source: THR]
