Joe Alwyn would star opposite Margaret Qualley in Claire Denis’ “The Stars at Noon” at A24, Alwyn replaces Taron Egerton who exited due to personal reasons. Denis will direct from a script she co-wrote with Lea Mysius and Andrew Litvack.
Based on the novel by Denis Johnson, the story is set in 1984 during the Nicaraguan Revolution and follows a mysterious English businessman and headstrong American journalist who strike up a passionate romance amid a dangerous labyrinth of lies and conspiracies. [Source: Deadline]

Bowen Yang and Harvey Fierstein have joined Billy Eichner’s mainstream romantic comedy feature “Bros” at Universal Pictures. The feature boasts a principal cast comprised exclusively of out LGBTQ+ individuals and opens in cinemas on August 2022.
The project is said to be a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about two gay men maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling towards love. Maybe. They’re both very busy. [Source: Variety]
Argylle
Rob Delaney (“Deadpool 2”) has signed on to join Matthew Vaughn’s spy thriller “Argylle” for the Apple TV+ service. The story is based on the novel by Ellie Conway, adapted by Jason Fuchs, and follows the world’s greatest spy on a globe-trotting adventure.
Delaney joins a csst that includes Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, Ariana DeBose and Dua Lipa. Filming is currently underway. [Source: THR]

Universal Pictures is delaying DreamWorks Pictures’ sci-fi feature “Distant” from March 11th to September 16th. Anthony Ramos stars as an asteroid miner who crash lands on an alien planet and must make his way across the harsh terrain. Zachary Quinto and Naomi Scott co-star. [Source: Deadline]
Dig
Saban Films has picked up North American rights to K. Asher Levin’s thriller “Dig” starring Thomas Jane, Harlow Jane, Emile Hirsch and Liana Liberato. Banipal Ablakhad and Benhur Ablakhad penned the script.
The story follows a widowed father (Thomas Jane) who is contracted for home demolition and when he and his daughter (Harlow Jane) arrive at the construction site they are soon taken hostage by a dangerous couple (Hirsch and Liberato), who will stop at nothing to retrieve what lies beneath the property.
