Sony Pictures has surprisingly addressed recent rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in talks to reprise their respective versions of “Spider-Man” for the upcoming third Tom Holland-led MCU “Spider-Man” film. The studio tells ET Online: “Those rumored castings are not confirmed”. The new film will be shot over the coming months ahead of a December 2021 release. [Source: ET Online]

Truth Be Told
Kate Hudson has signed on to star alongside series lead Octavia Spencer in the second season of the Apple drama series “Truth Be Told,” this marking her first television role. Filming on the new season begins next week in Los Angeles.

Spencer returns as Poppy Parnell, a true crime podcaster. Hudson will play Micah Keith, a lifestyle guru and longtime friend of Poppy’s as a new case that deeply involves both women unfolds and quickly puts their relationship to the ultimate test. [Source: Variety]

Focus Features has set “The One I Love” helmer Charlie McDowell to direct an adaptation of Daniel Clowes’ graphic novel “Patience”. McDowell and Justin Lader will co-write the film which Jim Burke and Steven Snyder are producing.

When his wife Patience is murdered, Jack falls into a deep pit of anger, grief, and guilt. Ten years later, he learns of a time machine that might allow him to fix things. From there, he plunges into a psychedelic journey through Patience’s past and the events that shaped her into the woman he knew and loved. [Source: Deadline]

Die Hard
Yesterday afternoon, Rumer Willis shared a sneak peek of her father Bruce Willis back in the role of John McClane from the “Die Hard” franchise along with the hashtag #diehardisback and a promise of something happening today. What the clip means is unclear, most likely its the character coming back for a marketing or promotional stunt for some brand or event. We’ll find out soon enough.
