NEON and Topic Studios have set a November 5th release date for the Kristen Stewart at Princess Diana drama “Spencer”. Jack Farthing co-stars as Charles in the feature set over one Christmas weekend at the Sandringham Estate. Pablo LarraĆn directs from a script by Steven Knight. [Source: NEON]
Bros
Canadian actor Luke Macfarlane (“Killjoys,” “The Night Shift”) will star opposite Billy Eichner in the Judd Apatow-produced gay romantic comedy “Bros” at Universal Pictures. Nicholas Stoller (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Eichner.
The project is considered the first gay rom-com from a major studio, and certainly the first to feature two openly gay male actors in the leads. The story follows two men with commitment issues who attempt to start a relationship together. The film opens August 22nd 2022. [Source: Collider]
Pierre the Pigeon-Hawk
Tara Nicole Whitaker (“The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’) will make her feature directorial debut with the musically-driven animated film “Pierre the Pigeon-Hawk” which she will co-direct alongside John D. Eraklis.
Whoopi Goldberg, Jennifer Coolidge, Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Snoop Dogg, Kenan Thompson, Howie Mandel, Luis Guzman, Paul Blackthorne, Domenick Lombardozzi and Ashlee Simpson lend their voices to the project about an NYC Pigeon-Hawk, rejected by both pigeon and hawk communities, who sets out to discover where he truly belongs. Halloween Kills
Sacred Bones Records has released “Unkillable,” the first single of the original soundtrack of “Halloween Kills” by John Carpenter and his collaborators Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.
The trio also composed the soundtrack for 2018’s acclaimed soft-reboot and is back for the sequel. The movie comes to commercial theaters on October 15th.
