Society of the Snow
J.A. Bayona’s “Society of the Snow,” which follows the true tale of the 1970s Uruguayan rugby players who must battle extreme conditions to survive after a plane crash in the Andes Mountains (the story was previously adapted as 1993’s “Alive”), has locked in a release. The feature will premiere in select theaters this December before streaming on Netflix from January 4th.

The Soft Machine
Filmmaker Gaspar Noe, participating in a masterclass at the London Film Academy, has revealed that his next project might be an adaptation of William Burroughs’ famously near-unintelligible “The Soft Machine” with a script draft all ready for production. The work concerns how control mechanisms invade the body. [Source: World of Reel]

The Dire Wolf
Andrzej Bartkowiak (“Romeo Must Die”) has been set to direct Steelyard Pictures’ supernatural thriller “The Dire Wolf” which will shoot in New Mexico for release next year. Ry Cook penned the script and Leone Marucci, Roy Scott Macfarland, Jeffrey Katz and Randy Mendelsohn produce.

The story follows Hank Whitmore, a sharp and stubborn New Mexican sheriff who aligns with the Navajo Nation when a series of supernatural events threatens his family, his town, and his way of life. [Source: Deadline]

Silent Hill 2
Following last year’s confirmation Konami and Bloober Team were remaking “Silent Hill 2,” the most acclaimed game in the franchise, it has been radio silent in regards to the game’s release.

Recently however, the game’s Steam page was updated with achievements and new subtitles – one of the last things done to a game before release. As such, speculation is now high the game is likely coming in very early 2024. [Source: ComicBook.com]

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
AMC has premiered the new trailer for the season finale of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” which follows on from the end of the fifth episode as Daryl takes on a powerful zombie in an arena.

The trailer reveals new details from the finale including Daryl, Laurent, and Isabelle reuniting. Whilst the group makes a last push for the Nest, Genet sends Codron after Daryl. The finale airs next Sunday.
