Smallville
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is set to release a Blu-ray box-set containing the complete ten season series of “Smallville” on October 19th – timed to the official 20th anniversary of the show. The Premise
FX has set a September 16th premiere date for the first two episodes of B.J. Novak’s five-episode comedy anthology series “The Premise”. Each episode will feature a different cast with a drastically different tone as it explores issues of the modern era.

Darren Lynn Bousman’s Next
“Spiral: From the Book of Saw” director Darren Lynn Bousman has revealed that he has been offered to direct a film based on one of his “favorite video games ever” from the “PS3, PS4” era.
He adds that the aim is to “make it interactive in the movie theater, just like the game was.” What title he’s referring to isn’t clear though the platform qualifier has led to suggestions like “Infamous,” “Killzone,” or “Twisted Metal” online. [Source: Coming Soon]
The Fallout
Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired worldwide rights to Megan Park’s award-winning feature “The Fallout” with plans to release it exclusively on HBO Max where available globally. Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Niles Fitch, Will Ropp, Lumi Pollack, John Ortiz, Julie Bowen, and Shailene Woodley star.

The Phantom of the Open
Sony Pictures Classics has picked up Craig Roberts’ heartwarming drama “The Phantom of the Open” starring Mark Rylance, Sally Hawkins and Rhys Ifans. Simon Farnaby (“Paddington 2”) adapted the script from his own book.
The inspiring true story follows Maurice Flitcroft (Rylance), an unrelenting optimist who managed to gain entry to the British Open Golf Championship Qualifying in 1976 and subsequently shot the worst round in Open history, becoming a folk hero in the process. [Source: Variety]
