Silent Night
The first photo is out from John Woo’s “Silent Night,” his return to Hollywood filmmaking which recently wrapped filming in Mexico City. Joel Kinnaman stars as a father on a mission to avenge his young son slain amidst gang violence at Christmas.
Shot and nearly killed while in pursuit of the murderers, he vows to take them down by any means necessary. Scott Mescudi, Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno star.
Squid Game
“Squid Game” series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk says the next batch of episodes likely won’t be ready for release until the end of 2023 at the earliest, and quite possibly won’t release until 2024. [Source: Variety]
Hocus Pocus 2
Disney+ has set a September 30th premiere date for the “Hocus Pocus” sequel which sees Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy return as the evil Sanderson sisters from the 1993 original. Jurassic World: Dominion
Universal Pictures has premiered a new featurette for Colin Trevorrow’s “Jurassic World Dominion”. The film’s star Chris Pratt talks about the state of the world after the ending of the previous film with the new one taking place four years later with humanity adapted to having dinosaurs as their neighbors and the planet’s ecological balance is now hanging by a thread.
