Shrinking
Apple TV+ has set a January 28th 2026 launch date for the return of its hit comedy “Shrinking” for a third season. Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley star. The eleven-episode season will kick off with a one-hour episode on that date, with weekly episodes following until April 8th. [Source: Apple TV+]
Screamboat 2
A sequel to “Screamboat,” the comedy-horror film inspired by the Mickey Mouse cartoon “Steamboat Willie,” has been given the go-ahead. The sequel is set to begin development in 2026 and while most of the cast is expected to return, no formal announcement has been made. [Source Variety]
The In-Claus
Netflix has picked up the package “The In-Claus” with Travis Braun penning the script and “Spider-Verse” duo Phil Lord & Chris Miller producing. Plot details are being kept under wraps but it is based on a short story by Braun and Gabrielle Meyer. [Source: Deadline]
Ella McCay
Another trailer has been released for “As Good As It Gets” director James L. Brooks’ new feature “Ella McCay”. Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Ayo Edebiri, Albert Brooks, Kumail Nanjiani, Jack Lowden, Rebecca Hall, Spike Fearn, Erica McDermott, Troy Garity and Julie Kavner co-star.
The story follows an idealistic young politician who juggles familial issues and a challenging work life while preparing to take over the job of her mentor, the state’s longtime incumbent governor. The film opens December 12th. [Source: 20th Century Studios]
