Scream 5
Jenna Ortega (“You,” “Jane the Virgin”) will join Melissa Barrera and returning castmembers David Arquette and Courteney Cox in the fifth “Scream” film at Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures. Lord & Miller
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are reportedly developing a new high-concept feature comedy starring and written by twins Keith and Kenny Lucas for Universal Pictures. The Lucas’ and Max Reisman penned the project with the logline being kept under wraps. The Lucas’ stole scenes in Lord & Miller’s “22 Jump Street” and recently have story credits on the highly anticipated “Judas and the Black Messiah”. [Source: Deadline]
The Boss Baby 2
Hans Zimmer and Steve Mazzaro are returning to score the sequel to 2017 DreamWorks hit “The Boss Baby” which earned $528 million worldwide and spawned a Netflix spin-off series. Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and Miles Bakshi lend their voices to the project which is directed by Tom McGrath and written by Michael McCullers. Dear Evan Hansen
Colton Ryan (“Little Voice”) and Nik Dodani (“Atypical”) will play Connor Murphy and Jared Kleinman respectively in the “Dear Evan Hansen” film adaptation at Universal Pictures. The New Mutants
20th Century Studios has released one more TV spot for “The New Mutants” opening August 28th. Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton and Alice Braga star in the horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, they must battle to make it out alive.
