BBC has unveiled the first photo from the new five-part police drama “The Responder” starring Martin Freeman as a crisis-stricken, morally compromised urgent response officer forced to take on a new rookie partner (Adelayo Adedayo).

Super-Cannes
Brandon Cronenberg (“Possessor”) will adapt “High-Rise” author J.G. Ballard’s 2000 thriller novel “Super-Cannes” into a limited TV series for Ringside Studios. Gub Neal and Andy Starke will produce.

The story unfolds in an ultra-modern high tech business park in the hills above the French Riviera city where the global elite has gathered to form a closed, uber-capitalist and high-tech community. [Source: Variety]

Gunpowder Milkshake
Netflix and Studiocanal have released the first posters for the female assassins action-thriller “Gunpowder Milkshake” starring Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Angela Bassett, Carla Gugino and Michelle Yeoh.

The one-sheets confirm a July 14th premiere exclusively on Netflix in the United States. Studiocanal will give the film a theatrical release in Europe, Australia, & New Zealand on July 21st.
