Quick News Reminiscence Waldo Limbo Bill

Thandie Newton is joining “Reminiscence,” the feature directorial debut of “Westworld” co-creator Lisa Joy which has been setup at Warner Bros. Pictures. Shooting takes place in New Orleans and Miami beginning in late October.

Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson star in the project which Joy penned the script for and will also produce with Jonathan Nolan, Michael De Luca and Aaron Ryder. Plot and character specifics are under wraps. [Source: Variety]

Wu-Tang Clan member Cliff ‘Method Man’ Smith and “Homeland” regular Rupert Friend have joined Tim Kirkby’s action-thriller “Waldo” opposite Mel Gibson, Charlie Hunnam, Morena Baccarin, Dominic Monaghan, Eiza Gonzalez, Clancy Brown Lucy Fry and Jacob Scipio.

Based on Howard Michael Gould’s novel “Last Looks,” the story follows a disgraced LAPD detective (Hunnam), who’s spent the past three years living off the grid. He’s reluctantly pulled back into his old life by a former lover in order to solve the murder of an eccentric celebrity’s wife. [Source: Deadline]

Miramax, Barnyard Projects and Snoot Entertainment have given the green light to the horror thriller “Limbo” with Matthew Jennison and Chris Peckover penning and Peckover (“Better Watch Out”) directing. Tim Palen, Keith Calder and Jess Wu Calder will produce and shooting begins in January.

The story follows a young mother whose body becomes possessed by something evil, rendering her a disembodied spirt and a ghost in her own house. As this demonic double takes over her life and threatens her family, she must find a way to protect her loved ones while also finding a way back to her body. [Source: Deadline]

Bill & Ted Face the Music
Screenwriter Ed Solomon has confirmed that filming on “Bill & Ted Face the Music” has wrapped, Solomon commemorating the news with photos and video on Twitter over the weekend of the last bits of shooting. Filming began in New Orleans, Louisiana in June with Solomon documenting the film’s production throughout. The film is scheduled to open August 24th next year.
