Total Recall
We had Paul Verhoeven’s iconic 1990 film version, and Len Wiseman’s flop-tastic 2012 reimagining, now an apparent third crack at “Total Recall” (based on a Phillip K Dick short story) is rumored to be in consideration over at Sony Pictures says scooper DanielRPK (via World of Reel).
SAG-AFTRA
The Actor’s Guild (SAG-AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) has now finished a second day of talks over their new three-year contract.
In a joint statement tonight both groups say they plan to continue negotiations both this coming Friday (October 6th) and next Monday (October 9th) with work being done internally over the weekend. [Source: Deadline]
The Head
Mediapro Studio is in early development of a third season of “The Head,” though the new run has yet to receive a production greenlight. The production company aims to be produced in Spain with the new run currently being written. [Source: Variety]
The Buccaneers
Apple TV+ has premiered the trailer for “The Buccaneers,” its new drama series adaptation of Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel which will debut its first three episodes on November 8th followed by new episodes weekly through December 13th.
The story follows a group of fun-loving American girls who enter the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s. An Anglo-American culture clash ensues due to the girls’ refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition.
