Maximum Truth
Momentum Pictures has scored the domestic rights to the political mockumentary feature “Maximum Truth” starring Ike Barinholtz and Dylan O’Brien. The film will score a release this Fall in theaters and online.
David Stassen helms the film about a documentary crew following shameless political grifter Rick Klingman as he teams up with a fellow ‘operative’ named Simon to take down a rival congressional candidate. Kiernan Shipka and Mark Proksch also appear. [Source: Variety]
Arachnophobia
“Happy Death Day” and “Freaky” filmmaker Christopher Landon has returned with the new Netflix film “We Have a Ghost” starring David Harbour, Anthony Mackie, Tig Notaro and Jennifer Coolidge. Ahead of its release today, Landon confirmed his planned “Arachnophobia” remake remains in progress.
The Power
Amazon Prime has released the official trailer for the sci-fi series “The Power” with the first three episodes to premiere March 31st. The remaining six episodes will be available each Friday until the finale on May 12th.
Based on Naomi Alderman’s novel, the story follows as a group of teenage girls who have developed the power to electrocute people – the new ‘gift’ begins to upset the balance of power. Toni Collette, John Leguizamo, Auli’i Cravalho, Josh Charles and Eddie Marsan co-star.
