The cast of BBC America’a “Orphan Black” will reunite for a table reading of two first season episodes timed to Mental Health Awareness in May and International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. The Lying Life of Adults
Netflix and Fandango are teaming up to develop a series based on Italian novelist Elena Ferrante’s “The Lying Life of Adults”. The story follows a young woman named Giovanna’s transition from childhood to adolescence in the 1990s in Naples. Ferrante is considered one of the world’s most read and beloved 21st-century writers. Untitled Maron & Shelton Project
Creative and romantic partners Marc Maron and Lynn Shelton are collaborating on a “domestic dramedy centered on three characters whose lives are upended by the resurfacing of past events”. Specifically a married couple and the brother of the man. The project will be scripted and helmed by Shelton. [Source: Indiewire]
The King of Staten Island
Universal Pictures has releassed a new featurette for the Judd Apatow comedy “The King of Staten Island” which offers an inside look at Pete Davidson and his journey bringing the semi-autobiographical story to life.
Davidson plays a man in arrested development ever since his firefighter father died. When his mother starts dating a loudmouth (Bill Burr), it sets off a chain of events that will force Scott to grapple with his grief and take his first tentative steps toward moving forward in life. The film hits digital platforms and VOD on June 12th.
Back to the Future
Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart web series has aired its second episode, bringing together the cast and creators of “Back to the Future” to discuss making the classic film while doing some readings of memorable scenes.
Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Mary Steenburgen, Elisabeth Shue, director Robert Zemeckis, writer Bob Gale, and singer-songwriter Huey Lewis were among the guest stars with the charity this week being Project Hope.
