One Second After
“Thunderbolts” actress Hannah John-Kamen will join Josh Holloway in the disaster thriller “One Second After” from MPI Original Films. Based on the novel by William R. Forstchen, the story unfolds in the hills of North Carolina after a catastrophic electromagnetic pulse attack cripples the nation – stripping the world of power, communication, and modern infrastructure.
Holloway plays a college professor and former military officer charged with protecting his community and guiding those around him through life-or-death decisions in a fight for survival. John-Kamen plays Makalya, a nurse stranded in Black Mountain following the attack. Scott Rogers will direct from a script by J. Michael Straczynski. [Source: Deadline]

Dwayne Johnson has confirmed he’ll be filming a third “Jumanji” film this November, the new one following 2017’s revival and 2019’s first sequel. Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Awkwafina, Nick Jonas, Rhys Darby, Alex Wolff , Madison Iseman, Ser’Darius Blain, Morgan Turner, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover starred in the previous installments. Ted Mann
Emmy-winning TV writer/producer Ted Mann, who worked on series as “Deadwood,” “NYPD Blue,” “Miami Vice,” “Homeland,” “Wiseguy,” “The Real Ghostbusters,” “John from Cincinnati,” “Millennium,” “Crash,” “Andromeda” “Hatfields and McCoys,” has died following a battle with lung cancer. The lavish audio production of the “Harry Potter” novels, titled “Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions,” has revealed more cast members with the works translated into Dolby Atmos tracks with original music and sound effects. The production has a total of more than 200 speaking roles with the first audio book arriving November 4th on Audible.

Legendary has bought the movie rights to SenLinYu’s dark fantasy novel “Alchemised” in a deal said to exceed $3 million. SenLinYu is a famed fanfic writer whose works on platforms like AO3 have garnered over ten million views. This book began as “Harry Potter” fanfiction before becoming an original dark romance-fantasy (not unlike “50 Shades of Grey” started as “Twilight” fan fiction.
Set in an alternate world of necromancers and corrupt guild families, the story centers on an alchemist and healer named Helen Marino, who may hold forgotten secrets in her mind. She is sent to the crumbling estate of one necromancer who is to probe her forgotten memories. But her prison and captor have secrets of their own … secrets Helena must unearth, whatever the cost.
