“Better Call Saul” actor Bob Odenkirk has pretty definitively shut down rumors he’ll be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor saying he has no plans to ever do so. The actor was rumored for a role in the currently shooting “Wonder Man” series a while back, a role that ultimately went to Ed Harris.

Speaking to The Independent, Odenkirk says he thinks he’s not a good fit for that world: “I always like to keep things grounded, relatable and smaller. I don’t think I’m built for that world. I’m built for characters that make you feel like that guy could live next door.”

Jamie Foxx
55-year-old actor and musician Jamie Foxx was taken to the hospital after suffering a ‘medical complication’ on Tuesday according to his family. TMZ broke the news saying Foxx is already recovering and is “communicating now” with his family.

The incident was serious enough family came to the hospital, including members from out of town. His daughter, actress Corinne Foxx, says in a statement on Instagram: “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Lilo & Stitch
Billy Magnussen (“Aladdin,” “No Time to Die”) has signed on to star alongside Zach Galifianakis and Maia Kealoha in Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” film from director Dean Fleischer Camp.

The original Hawaii-set story charted the friendship between a lonely girl named Lilo and the alien, Stitch, engineered to be a force of destruction. Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the forthcoming film from a previous draft by Mike Van Waes. [Source: Deadline]

Final Fantasy XVI
PlayStation has announced a new State of Play event which is putting the focus entirely on one game: “Final Fantasy XVI”. That event will stream live on Thursday April 13th at 2pm US-PT and will be dedicated exclusively to that title.

The video will show off the battle system and fantasy setting, as well as the summons (Eikons) and the people who can host them (Dominants). The game is a PS5 exclusive and will release on June 22nd. [Source: Coming Soon]

Next Goal Wins
Taika Waititi’s soccer comedy “Next Goal Wins” will now open in cinemas on November 17th, Searchlight pushing back its release date from September 22nd. Michael Fassbender, Elisabeth Moss, Will Arnett, David Fane, Beulah Koale, Oscar Kightley and Lehi Falepapalangi co-star.

The story follows the national football team of American Samoa and their coach, Thomas Rongen (Fassbender), as they try to transform from perennial losers into a FIFA World Cup-qualifying outfit. Check out a new poster for the film below. [Source: Searchlight]
