HanWay Films will handle international sales on multi-Grammy Award-nominee Sia’s feature directorial debut “Music” starring Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr., Maddie Ziegler, Juliette Lewis, Ben Schwartz and Mary Kay Place. Sia and Dallas Clayton penned the script.

Hudson plays Zu, a free spirit estranged from her family, who suddenly finds herself the sole guardian of her half-sister, Music (Ziegler), a teenager on the autism spectrum whose whole world order had been beautifully crafted by her late grandmother. Red Bird Lane
Susan Sarandon will star alongside Kiersey Clemons, Isidora Goreshter, Danny Huston, Ash Santos, Fiona Dourif, Dizzie Harris, and Tara Lynne Barr in the psychological thriller series pilot “Red Bird Lane” at HBO Max.

The series follows eight strangers who arrive at an isolated house – all for different reasons – and quickly realize that something sinister and terrifying awaits them. Sarandon will play the magnetic murderous hostess of the house, Catherine. [Source: Variety]

Great Escapes
History has greenlit the Morgan Freeman-narrated six-episode nonfiction series”Great Escapes” which looks at history’s biggest jailbreaks from some of the most notorious prisons in the world.

Each episode boasts dramatic re-creations and cutting-edge visual effects, looking into every step of an inmate’s plan, their escape and the manhunt that followed. The one-hour series will be hosted and executive produced by Freeman. [Source: Deadline]

Monster Hunter
Following its New York Comic Con panel over the weekend, a featurette is up from director Paul W.S. Anderson’s film adaptation of Capcom’s video game series “Monster Hunter”. The clip showcases Anderson at work and meeting with Capcom reps, showing off how the film’s monster designs stay quite loyal to the franchise.

In fact it goes beyond in some cases, to offer more detail than the games could showcase. Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, T.I., Ron Perlman, Meagan Good, and Diego Boneta star in the film opening April 23rd.
