Sony Delays Marvels Morbius Again

Sony Pictures’ Marvel film “Morbius,” starring Jared Leto, has pushed back its release one week and will now open on January 28th 2022. Daniel Espinosa directs the film from a script penned by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona and Tyrese Gibson star. [Source: IGN]

The Wonder
Florence Pugh (“Midsommar,” “Black Widow”) is set to star in “A Fantastic Woman” director Sebastian Lelio’s “The Wonder,” an adaptation of the suspenseful novel by Emma Donoghue. Alice Birch (“Succession”) is penning the screenplay, along with Donoghue and Lelio.

Set in the late 1850s, the story follows an English nurse who goes to a tiny village in Ireland to observe what some view as a medical anomaly: a young girl who has survived without food for months. [Source: Variety]

Black Adam
Australian actor Uli Latukefu (“Marco Polo,” “Alien Covenant”), who plays college football era Dwayne Johnson on the NBC hit comedy “Young Rock,” will reunite with Johnson on the currently shooting “Black Adam” for New Line/DC Films.

Latukefu’s role in the superhero feature is being kept under wraps. He recently shot Taika Waititi’s “Next Goal Wins” and the action thriller Black Site. With ‘Adam’ he joins Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell and Marwan Kenzari also round out the cast. [Source: Deadline]

Hot Wheels Unleashed
Mattel and Milestone have released a pre-alpha gameplay trailer for “Hot Wheels Unleashed,” the latest instalment in the video game franchise based on the racing car toyline. Sixty-plus vehicles will be available at launch when the game hits consoles and PC on September 27th.
