Gunpowder Milkshake
Netflix and STXfilms’ action-thriller “Gunpowder Milkshake” has scored an R-rating from the MPAA for “strong bloody violence throughout and language” ahead of its release this Summer.

Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Michelle Yeoh, Carla Gugino, Angela Bassett, Chloe Coleman, Paul Giamatti and Adam Nagaitis star in the film about an all-female assassin squad. [Source: Film Ratings]

Night Raiders
Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired U.S. rights to the female-driven dystopian sci-fi feature “Night Raiders” executive produced by Taika Waititi and written and directed by Danis Goulet.

The story is set in 2043 when a military occupation controls disenfranchised cities in post-war North America and children are considered property of the regime. A desperate Cree woman joins an underground band of vigilantes and infiltrates a State children’s academy, so that she can get her daughter back. [Source: Deadline]

Reminiscence
Warner Bros. Pictures has officially moved up the release date of “Westworld” creator Lisa Joy’s sci-fi thriller film “Reminiscence” starring Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson. The film will now arrive in theaters and on HBO Max a week earlier on Friday, August 20th.

Set in the near future, where Miami has been changed by global warming, Jackman plays a private investigator who deals in recapturing vivid cherished memories for clients. Ferguson plays a mysterious client he falls in love with. [Source: Warner Bros. Pictures]

Mass Effect
BioWare is releasing a bunch of free material from the “Mass Effect” franchise ahead of the upcoming release of “Mass Effect Legendary Edition” on consoles and PC.

The soundtrack to all three games in the classic trilogy now on the franchise’s official website and includes one new track for the remake and 87 tracks from the trilogy. There’s also a four-hour-long upload on the official Mass Effect channel on YouTube.
