Midsommar Poster Trailer Hits Tuesday

Midsommar
A24 has moved up “Hereditary” director Ari Aster’s follow-up film “Midsommar,” this time only by a few days. Previously scheduled for August 9th and then July 5th, it will now hit Wednesday July 3rd and take full advantage of the July 4th holiday weekend. Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor play a couple vacationing in a small Swedish village. What starts out idyllic quickly becomes a nightmare. [Source: Reddit]

Chicago Fire
Jon Seda, a regular on the various NBC “Chicago” shows, is exiting the franchise. At the same time “Chicago Med” co-stars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling are also exiting – all will no longer be series regulars though guest appearances in the future are possible. All three” Chicago” series have been renewed for next season and all the departures were said to be due to creative reasons. [Source: Deadline]

Lucifer
Ahead of the fourth season launch exclusively on Netflix next month, actor Tom Ellis has filmed a quick three season recap of FOX’s cancelled “Lucifer” series. The three-minute segment explains the premise and covers the major storyline basics. Ten all-new episodes will premiere in full on the service on May 8th.

Child’s Play
Timed for the Easter Holiday, a new poster has popped out for the “Child’s Play” remake. Aubrey Plaza stars as a mother who gives her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. Brian Tyree Henry, Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio and Carlease Burke also star. Lars Klevberg helms from a script by Tyler Burton Smith. The film opens June 21st.
