Warner Bros. TV is reportedly in the last stages of complex negotiations with Netflix about a fourth season of NBC’s cancelled missing-plane drama series “Manifest”.
In anticipation to a pickup, negotiations have reportedly begun with the cast and has been making offers to writers – both those who previously worked on the series and some new ones – for the fourth season. [Source: Deadline]
Lady Chatterley’s Lover
Jack O’Connell (“Unbroken”) and Emma Corrin (“The Crown”) are set to star in a new adaptation of D.H. Lawrence’s novel “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” for Netflix and Sony’s 3000 Pictures. The project marks the first in a new deal between Sony and Netflix.
The story follows the life of the titular Lady Chatterley who engages in a torrid affair with her home’s gamekeeper and falls for – much to the shock of her well-bred peers. Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre directs. [Source: Deadline]
FBoy Island
HBO Max has renewed its reality dating series “FBoy Island” for a second season. Comedian Nikki Glaser hosts the series which had the biggest launch for a Max Original reality series since the platform’s launch. Also viewership only increased over the following nine weeks. [Source: HBO Max]
Dear White People
Netflix has released the full trailer for the fourth and final season of its “Dear White People” series, the final run dubbed “the musical season” with the trailer revealing some of the numbers in the episodes which are both “Afro-futuristic and 90s-inspired”. The final run premieres on September 22nd.
