Cry Macho
Clint Eastwood’s latest directorial effort “Cry Macho” has set an October 22nd 2021 release date both in theaters and on HBO Max. Filming on the feature wrapped in New Mexico in December.

Based on the 1970 novel of the same name, the project sees the Oscar winner play a washed-up rodeo star that takes a job from his former boss to bring the man’s young son back to Texas from rural Mexico. [Source: THR]

The Innkeeper
Thai filmmaker Nattawut ‘Baz’ Poonpiriya (“One For The Road,” “Bad Genius”) will direct English-language horror-thriller “The Innkeeper” for Starlight. Eakasit Thairath penned the script with filming to take place in the U.S and Thailand in 2022.

Set against the backdrop of the Southeast Asian financial crisis in 1997, the film will chart the story of a man who must grapple with his own fears after discovering his disappeared twin brother in a desolate Thai hotel. [Source: Deadline]

Mr. Mayor
NBC has announced that its Ted Danson and Holly Hunter-led workplace sitcom “Mr. Mayor” has been renewed for a second season. The renewal comes just a month after the show’s first season finale aired. [Source: TV Line]

Stowaway
The first photos have been released of Anna Kendrick, Toni Collette, Daniel Dae Kim and Shamier Anderson in Joe Penna’s Netflix sci-fi thriller feature “Stowaway” premiering April 22nd.

The story revolves around a crew heading to Mars for a two-year mission. When the group discovers a stowaway (Anderson) on the ship, they have to face the fact that their ship may not be able to sustain life for all three of their own team members.
