The Lost City
The Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum-led comedy “The Lost City” has been set to premiere tomorrow (May 10th) on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada with plans to be available in Australia, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy later this year.
The story follows a reclusive romance novelist Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) on a book tour with her cover model Alan Caprison (Channing Tatum), watching as the pair get swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them in a cutthroat jungle adventure. Glorious
Shudder has acquired Rebekah McKendry’s ‘Lovecraft in a men’s toilet block’ feature “Glorious” starring Ryan Kwanten and J.K. Simmons, with plans to premiere the film on the service on August 18th.
Kwanten plays a man on a post-breakup downward spiral who finds himself locked inside a rest stop bathroom with a mysterious figure (Simmons) speaking from an adjacent stall. He soon realises his situation is bigger and more terrible than he could have ever imagined. [Source: Collider]
Emancipation
Apple and Westbrook Studios are reportedly planning to delay the release of the Will Smith-led drama “Emancipation” from this Fall to sometime in 2023 – taking the film out of the awards race for this year. Antoine Fuqua helms the film which has not shared an official date at this time. [Source: Variety]
Assassin and Son
State Street Pictures has optioned Shad Gaspard and Marc Copani’s comic “Assassin & Son” with plans for a film adaptation. The story follows Donovan Braddock, a one-man killing unit who works with a team of covert assassins called ‘The Horsemen’.
When Braddock finds love, and makes a family of his own, he attempts to leave that life behind. When his wife is murdered in front of him and his young son, the pair set out on an epic journey of revenge and consequence. [Source: Deadline]
