Ted Lasso
Apple TV+ has announced that the comedy series “Ted Lasso” will premiere on August 14th and released the first photo which you can see above. The series follows a college football coach from Kansas (Jason Sudeikis) who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England. Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold executive produce. People of the Book
Gael Garcia Bernal, Nazanin Boniadi and Jason Isaacs will star in “People of the Book” for Good Films Collective. The project is based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Geraldine Brooks while Danis Tanovic (“No Man’s Land”) directs from a script by Petter Skavlan (“Kon Tiki”).

The story follows the creation of the 14th century Sarajevo Haggadah – an illuminated manuscript that contains the illustrated traditional text of the Passover Haggadah which accompanies the Passover Seder. The story will follow the journey taken by people from different cultures and religions who risked their lives to save it. [Source: Deadline]

Almythea
Rio Vista Universal, Porchlight Entertainment Worldwide, and actress/producer Priscilla Presley are developing a sci-fi film franchise based on A.J. Cootes’ “Almythea” book series. Cinematographer Bruce Logan (“2001: A Space Odyssey,” “Batman Forever”) has signed on to direct while Steven A. Finly is adapting the screenplay.

Set against a millennia-long war between immortal warriors, the story follows a young villager named Little Hawk who dreams of becoming a warrior along with his childhood sweetheart Broken Arrows, the complex and bitter tyrant Terrian Diomedes, and his sinister winged temptress overlord Raven Weaver. Young Sheldon
HBO Max has acquired the streaming rights to “Young Sheldon” in a deal with a deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. As a result, both “The Big Bang Theory” and its spinoff will be under the same streaming roof. [Source: Variety]

We’re Not From Here
Olive Bridge Entertainment has sold the film rights for Geoff Rodkey’s middle-grade novel “We’re Not From Here” to Sony Pictures with plans for a family-focused hybrid live-action and animation feature adaptation.

The story asks you to imagine being forced to move to a new planet where YOU are the alien and “proves friendship and laughter can transcend even a galaxy of differences.” Rodkey will adapt with Mike Mitchell (“Trolls”) directing and both Will Gluck and Jodi Hildebrand producing. [Source: Deadline]
