Ink
The first photo has been released from filmmaker Danny Boyle’s new film “Ink,” a film adaptation of the 2017 Tony-nominated play by James Graham. Graham adapted his play for the film and shooting is currently underway.
The film deals with the late 1960s British newspaper rivalry between The Sun and its parent paper, The Mirror and the beginnings of Rupert Murdoch‘s controversial media empire. Jack O’Connell appears in the image as The Sun editor Larry Lamb. Also starring are Guy Pearce as Murdoch, and Claire Foy as Jules Davies. [Source: The Playlist]
Street Fighter
A recent Instagram story from filmmaker Kitao Sakurai showed a clapperboard and pixel art of Street Fighter characters that fans took to mean filming on the new live-action film adaptation of the “Street Fighter” video game series is complete.
Since then, at least three actors from the film have indicated they have already left Sydney and are back at home after finishing their scenes. However, there has been no official confirmation of the shoot being over just yet. Filming began mid-August in Australia. [Source: Nexus Point News]
Hour Of Reckoning
Kiefer Sutherland is in advanced talks to star in the revenge action-thriller “Hour Of Reckoning” at Thunder Road. Vaughn Stein helms from a script by Chuck Hustmyre, with filming to begin early next year.
Sutherland plays a retired lawman who returns to his dying hometown to investigate his brother’s mysterious death. He uncovers a brutal criminal empire led by a charismatic psychopath who rules through fear and corruption. [Source: Deadline]
Nomad
Jason Momoa is set to star in the new Apple TV drama series “Nomad” which hails from “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter and writer/producer Chris Collins (“The Wire,” “The Man in the High Castle”). Both are writing the pilot with Collins showrunning. Sutter, Momoa and Brian Mendoza executive produce.
Set in the violent underworld of New Zealand’s outlaw bikers, a warrior torn between two lives, two callings and two families must decide which path defines his true destiny. It’s Momoa’s third effort for Apple following the three-season “See” and the recent limited series “Chief of War”. [Source: Deadline]
Men in Black: Most Wanted
An announcement teaser has been released for “Men in Black: Most Wanted,” a new VR action shooter game developed by Coatsink and based on the beloved movie franchise.
Players will step into the role of an Agent of the Men in Black in the early 1990s, unfolding a new era of the MIB universe. The title hitsMeta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, and Meta Quest Pro on December 5th.
