The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
Developer Daedalic Entertainment and publisher Nacon have announced a Fall 2022 release window for “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” coming to all consoles and PC.
Players will utilize stealth, agility, and their wits to survive and overcome what lies ahead of them. As Gollum, you’ll be able to climb, leap, and grapple across a variety of terrain. [Source: YouTube]

Sony has confirmed that it will hold its next State of Play presentation this Thursday, July 8th at 2pm US-PT and will contain a deep dive into “Deathloop” along with several unspecified indie and third-party titles.
It has been made clear there will be no further news on “God of War: Ragnarok,” “Horizon Forbidden West” or PSVR2, though hopefully there’ll be some more on the “Ghost of Tsushima” expansion coming next month. [Source: PS Blog]
Charles de Gaulle
Pathe is developing an untitled two-part film about Charles de Gaulle, the legendary WW2 French Resistance leader and eventual President. The story will be set entirely during the war and charts his evolution into a political career.
Antonin Baudry (“The Wolf’s Call”) wil pen and direct the films based on Julian Jackson’s “A Certain Idea of France”. Production is expected to start in 2023. [Source: Variety]
Spirited
Filming has officially begun on the Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell-led “Spirited,” a musical take on Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” for Apple TV+. Reynolds, who plays the Scrooge character, made the announcement via his Twitter feed along with showing an early image from the set. Sean Anders and John Morris (“Daddy’s Home”) pen the film which also stars Sunita Mani and Octavia Spencer.
