HBO Max has announced “Garcia!” a new six-episode series to be produced in Spain based on the popular graphic novel and hailing from the team behind “30 Coins”.
The story follows a young investigative reporter (Veki Velilla) who uncovers the truth behind a decades-old Francoist conspiracy. The titular Garcia (Francisco Ortiz) is a super-soldier agent (with inhuman strength and agility) in the 1950 who was cryogenically frozen and now has been thawed out. [Source: Variety]
Renfield
“Invincible” creator Robert Kirkman has opened up about the “Renfield” movie currently in the works at Universal Pictures. Talking about the film’s tone, Kirkman says: “It’s a story about him being Dracula’s henchman and how s–ty a job that is. Time Cut
“Happy Death Day” and “Freaky” writer-director Chris Landon is set to produce the young adult feature “Time Cut” for ACE Entertainment. Hannah Macpherson (“Trinkets”) will direct from a script by Michael Kennedy and Sono Patel.
Madison Bailey and Antonia Gentry will lead the project which is dubbed “Back to the Future meets Scream” and will begin shooting this June in Canada. [Source: THR]

The Green Knight
A24 has released five new character posters from David Lowery’s medieval fantasy epic “The Green Knight” starring Dev Patel. Originally slated for last Summer, it will now arrive exclusively in theaters on July 30th.
